Dear Readers,

I dedicate this first post to those whose hearts were taken captive by the music of videogames.

I, too, am a victim of this kidnapping—and currently still under captivity. It is the fault of videogame composers that their sweet melody reached my ears—our ears—and allured us under their piper’s spell so that our attentions laid only on them. However, the fault of this crime would not justly be so attributed to only them, as their accomplice—the Videogame Music Archive—are the locksmiths that shackled my ears to my headphones during those years—even to this day. Surely, those years were the best of times, and the worst of times; my response to those vile captors: Thank you.
